The Launch of One Minute Hull, Artists Moving Image Festival
Friday 6th November will be the launch of the very first One Minute Hull, Artists Moving Image Festival. Over 500 one minute videos made by local, national and international artists will be screening at The Museum of Club Culture, Thieving Harry's, Studio Eleven Gallery and The Central Library throughout the weekend. We are delighted to be hosting the launch party!

A celebration of Hulls nightlife and Youth Subcultures
In association with guest curator George Norris

Exhibition Open Weekends 11am to 4.30 pm from Saturday 11th July to Sunday 9th August
at The Museum of Club Culture Suite 5 Bond 31, 42 High St Hull.
Celebrating and chronicling Hulls rich nightclub and music heritage that reverberates down the years from the Working Mens Clubs and Music Halls to the Big Band Ballrooms and Folk clubs, the Trad and Modern Jazz coffee clubs and pubs to the Mod R&B Allnighters, the Discotheques and gigs, the Punk hangouts and Electronic dance music club nights. An exhibition that spans the generations with memorabilia, club flyers, membership cards, clothing, posters, photography and film all contributed for the exhibition by the people of the city.
Only After Dark is dedicated to the Night Owls the Rock n Rollers the Teds, the Beatniks, Mods and Rockers the Weekend Ravers, the Soulies the Punks and New Romantics and all the party people of Hull for puttin on the style and dancing the night away. Nightspots referenced include The Bier Keller,The Tower,The Wellington Club Oddessey Discotek, Dingwalls, Romeos and Juliets, Skyline Ballroom, New York Hotel and Ballroom, Baileys, Spiders,Trogg Bar, Kon Tiki, Blue Lamp, Club Penguin, Brick House, Silhouette, LAs, Adelphi, Gondola Club and Coffee Bar, Grannys Parlour Folk Club,Telstar, Movin Scene,The Waterfront, Majestic, The Locarno, Disco 66, Club 51, Ocean Eleven, Spiders, Eclipse,The Room, Fruit just a few names that resonate with memories down the years in Hull the City of Club Culture.

Untold Stories 2015
We are looking for people to interview for this cross generational project, and to bring in any Hull related nightclub memorabilia that we can photograph to add to the archive/film. So if you spent time dancing the night away at coffee clubs, ballrooms, discotheques and nightclubs such as The Gondola Club and Coffee Bar, Grannys Parlour Folk Club,The Locarno Ballroom,Club 51,The Majestic, Kevin Ballroom, Movin Scene,The Discoteque, Brick House, Fagins, Malcolms Discoteque, Beverley Road Baths, Kon Tiki Club, Skyline, Baileys, New York Hotel, Purple Pussycat Club, Flipper disc Cafe,Telstar, Tiffanys Nightspot, Hofbrauhaus, Trogg Bar, Henrys, Oddessy Discotek, Club International, Romeos and Juliets, Bier Keller, Lexington Avenue, Eclipse,The Silhouette Club, Wellington Club, Blue Lamp,Spiders, The Room, Adelphi Club, or Fruit we hope you choose to take part and tell your own story of Hulls nightclub scenes.
